Chicken House Design for 27,000 Broilers in Nigeria
In designing a poultry farm for raising 27,000 broilers in Nigeria, careful consideration is given to the chicken house dimensions, cage equipment, and environmental control systems.
In designing a poultry farm for raising 27,000 broilers in Nigeria, careful consideration is given to the chicken house dimensions, cage equipment, and environmental control systems. Below is a breakdown of the design:
Chicken House Dimensions:
The chicken house is designed with a size of 100 meters in length, 12 meters in width, and a height of 3 meters. This spacious structure allows for efficient management and housing of large numbers of birds.
Broiler Cage Specifications:
The house utilizes H-type 3-tier 2-door broiler cages with dimensions of 1050mm x 800mm x 420mm. Each cage layer is capable of housing 34 broilers, with each set containing 102 broilers.
Space Allocation per Broiler:
The space per broiler inside the cages is 494 square centimeters, ensuring sufficient room for the birds to grow and develop. This is calculated based on the cage dimensions and the number of birds per layer.
Cage Arrangement in the Chicken House:
The cages are arranged in rows with 88 sets of H-type broiler cages per row. The chicken house contains a total of 3 rows, with a total of 264 sets of H-type broiler cages installed inside the building.
Total Capacity of the Chicken House:
With the current setup of cages, the chicken house can house 27,000 broilers (102 birds per cage x 88 sets broiler cages per row x 3 rows).
Environmental Control Systems:
To ensure optimal conditions for the broilers, the chicken house is equipped with various environmental control devices such as ventilation and cooling systems. These systems help maintain the ideal temperature and airflow, reducing stress and improving the overall health and productivity of the birds.
This design provides a well-organized and efficient poultry farm layout, ensuring both high capacity and effective management of the broiler operation in Nigeria.
